disciple of the darker electronic textures.
tavoo's style developed in the liminal zones of the late '90s, where nu-metal's fractured aggression collided with the grit of hip-hop and early uk bass music that defied genre boundaries. the inputs were never clean - absorbed from a young age, foundation hardening into obsession over time.
what followed was a decade-plus living behind DJ booths and in front of massive systems built for architectural damage, all shaping a specific fixation: the physics of sound pressure. live audio work - calibrating systems designed for physical impact, not just volume - fed a hunger for the mechanics of pressure. with countless deployments, raves and nightclub rituals worth of experience gained, engineering and DJing collapsed into one practice somewhere along the way, both dialects from the language of low frequencies, one spoken with fluency.
his relationship with technology has always been adversarial in the productive sense, as systems exist to be understood, then bent. that ethos extends from the studio to the stack to the dancefloor itself.. dense ambient textures, forward-thinking techno, and a myriad of drum and bass - all bent toward the same aim: exploiting the body's response to pressure and repetition to conjure an emotional state that is not easily forgotten.
